GUYS I've been so bad this transfer so far!! Ok, ok quick update! I have officially moved to the NORTHGATE AREA!! In case you forgot, in my district there are 3 areas, Northgate, Pleasant hill, and Martinez! SO I literally just jumped over😂 I am follow up training sister Durda!! She was over in SF for her first transfer so it's definitely new for her!! Here is the new character introduction:

Sister Durda - Comp
The Kennedys - Ward Missionaries
Bro Christensen - Ward Mission Leader
Xavier - Recent Convert
Sam, Seraj, Anthony - Friends
Linda, Dorothy, Janet, Kate - Weekly Ministering

Ok, ok now to the quick recap!!
● I officially have a heart monitor!! I wear it till Thursday and then send it in!
● Our members feed us SOOOO good!!
● Xavier is the coolest recent convert ever
● Linda loves missionary work more than anyone I've ever met
● I gave out my first BoM (me doing the main speaking)
● Me, Sister Fessler and Elder Halftermeyer are singing a trio of how great thou art (half in Spanish) for the Why I Believe

Now for this week recap!
Monday: It was NOT p-day! They moved our p-day to Wednesday for the temple so we had a normal work day! We ended up spending the whole day with the district. We cleaned a church building and this random guy came in talking about how social media is taking over... anyways we had a district blitz after and I did in fact pull out some Spanish😌

Tuesday: A lot of visits this day! We did our Tuesday service!! We LOVE  the refuge church! It's always so amazing to get to serve those around us!

Wednesday: PDAYYYYY we did endowments and dealings! I LOVE THE TEMPLE!! We met up with the district after and got In N Out (our go too) then we did some district shopping at Target it was super fun! We just hung out at the Institute building after!

Thursday: MIRACLE DAY!! Ok so first my Dr Appt! I got my monitor and I send it in on Thursday! After the appt, we went to Linda's and we had a lesson with a friend of hers ARNOLD! Oh wow his story is amazing! We got to testify of the Book of Mormon and how the church has influenced our lives! We invited him to join us for church and he seemed super interested! We ended up going home and just doing things from there the rest of the day because my nurse grounded me... they needed a baseline day so I had to relax all day... yay...

Friday: We got picked up by Sister Smith and she took us to visit her friend Kate! She's super sweet and we're going to start weekly visits! We had an awesome lesson with Xavier! He's going to bear his testimony at Zone Conference AND the Why I Believe! He's an icon! I got knocked out by my heart and had to take a power nap after but we finished out the day good! WE HAD EXCHANGES!

Saturday: I went over the Walnut Creek with Sister Johnson! I LOVE HER!! We had such a good day! We went out finding in the morning and had a lot of good conversations. Do you guys remember when I couldn't go parking lot finding my first transfer? WELL GUESS WHAT?? I went parking lot finding for over an hour😌 I love progress. We went to a baptism for a lottle girl of a family I actually knew from that ward so it was super fun to see people I knew! My heart took me out for a little so we ended up having a really good talk after about finding the balance and she gave me a lot of good advice. We were able to go out public finding a little but more after!

Sunday: Church!! Weekly Planning! Just a normal Sunday! We had a change in the Bishopric so brand new people! We talked to some of the Youth who are preparing for their missions about taking them out finding with us to help them adjust!

—————————————————————————

This week I've been learning a lot about patience. Patience with myself and with being ok with where I am at. With everything going on recently, I've been limited in how often I can go out and how much I can do. Don't get me wrong it has been FRUSTRATING, but I keep holding on to the trust that God ultimately knows better than I do. With testing my physical limits and being in a constant vulnerable state, it's been really hard to keep feeling like a good missionary, but I've had one thought in my head all week:

A "good" missionary isn't based on numbers, but on effort.

As long as I am giving my all every day, I am doing the work I was sent here to do.
