Mission Week 7: Transfers Happened

Image
Hey yall! Sorry I didn't write last week but it was CRAZY! We had transfers so Sister Porter went away🥲 BUT I got Sister Fessler now!! She awesome I love her so much! We didn't have too many crazy things happen these past couple weeks! We had an old friend of ours reach out for a blessing and lesson so that was an amazing experience!! We did service with the Elders (now Elders Nash and Tate) for like 3 hours! We moved some war collectable to a storage unit!  On Monday we had such a fun pday!! We got a tarp and did a human slip and slide! Buuuut I wasn't wearing sun screen or drinking enough water so I got heat exhaustion and woke up AWFUL on Tuesday.  Cuz I didn't feel good we just stayed home and called people pretty much! I still did my mentor session and we were able to get out and do some visits! On Wednesday we started our mission tour! Elder Wada of the seventy came down for a few days to do some devotionals and pop in on some plannings! We didn't get a chanc...

Mission Week Six: Food Poisoning

Image
This week has been WILD per the title! Monday: Pday, we did normal.pday things. Volleyball, shopping, hanging out with the zone. We had FHE with the YSA, we did karaoke🤘 Tuesday: Tuesday was a hard day. It was the first day I really wanted to go home. I woke feeling the work was going to be nothing but hard. So I fr had a bad attitude the first bit of the day. While doing visits, Sister Porter kept pointing out little miracles and it made me change my perspective on the day which I very much needed. Later that day when we had tacos with Sisters Loris and Liwai, we stopped by a cookie place. We popped in, saw the prices and dipped out. I wanted a cookie for the past week so I was super sad, but then this woman came out and said "Sisters, do you want cookies?" SO WE GOT COOKIES! Miracle, also came to find out this lady in our ward owned the store so that was crazy.  Wednesday: Our last district council🥲 Sister Porter and I walked 40 minutes to our chapel knocking along ...

Mission Week 5: Food, Food, and More Food

Image
We got fed SO MUCH this week. There was a couple sisters from one of Sister Porters old areas that came up to pleasant hill and they wanted to take us to lunch. I have never been given more food in my life. We went to lunch at a Filipino restaurant and it was yummy, but then they gave us all the leftovers (including theirs) and then proceeded to take us to three stores to buy us more food including pork buns, desserts, bread and more noodles. We ended up with 5 BAGS OF FOOD. Actually crazy. We gave a ton to the Elders tho so that was good! Okok week recap Tuesday: We had that CRAZY lunch. We also got the chance ti do some service at a refuge church about 15 minutes away. It was really awesome to get to experience it! We loaded up cars of refugee families with food and gave them flowers for mothers day! And we ended our day with yet another taco Tuesday 🤘 Wednesday: We had a mission wide zoom with Elder Wada of the seventy! He's going to be doing a mission tour next week so it was ...
