Arrival: Sister Merritt is in CA

 A quick note to let you know that your missionary has arrived safely in the California Oakland San Francisco Mission. We anticipate a wonderful journey together and await God’s blessings and miracles as we invite others to come unto Christ. We love you and are grateful for your prayers as we go forward.

Sister Merritt is officially living in the Oakland/San Francisco areas.



They sent a new letter the next day:

Dear Missionary Family,

We are happy to let you know that Sister Merritt is already serving in the great California Oakland/San Francisco Mission. What a special privilege it has already been to come to know her. We are deeply grateful for your sacrifice, and we promise you that we will love and care for your missionary. She has already been assigned a companion through revelation. We invite you to encourage her to find good in her companion (Preach My Gospel chapter 6) and to jump right into the great missionary work (Preach My Gospel Chapter 1).    

We desire for your missionary to have the best mission possible by centering everything we do on Jesus Christ. We witness to you that this is His sacred work.  Our hearts are changed as we serve.  Blessings will come to you as well.

Mission Week 2: Trips and Mass Baptism

  Y'all as chaotic as my title seems, yeah that was my week. That being said yall get a weekly breakdown rq: Tuesday: My comp wasn't feeling super well but she's a trooper so she pushed through Wednesday: FAST FORWARD TO WEDNESDAY MORNING AT 1AM. I wake up to "sister, pssst, sister...we need to go to the er" my girl could not breathe. And yes we tried calling our mission president but he didn't answer and I don't have a driving card yet(we have to sign in on a Lil machine) so she had to drive to the er😭 anyways were there till 4:30 and we still went to zone training and interviews💪 Thursday/Friday: Normal days except we were giving sister Porter plenty of time to rest so I spent a lot of time studying and cleaning and doing duolingo piano. Mission Week 4: A Record of Events

I chose to record this week because I'm sick of typing. Here's a list of events I want to share: -P-Day potluck we shared food and played yard games - Zone Conference: I Am A Disciple of Jesus Christ, each day is unique, the Gospel is personal to each of us, "You'll make or break your mission everyday." _Holland  -We had some yummy $1 street tacos - Service at the church building and a family's backyard- I'm getting tan!! -I'm starting to initiate conversations!!! It's been hard for me, but I'm doing it!! It's a HUGE milestone. -Played volleyball and got hurt, but it's okay because Ty came! He's someone we are starting to teach.
